But I had a baby girl late last year, my first baby so you can imagine the excitement, busy-ness n adjusting myself to a new role.... Everything is all new to me... Alhamdulillah, everything went well yesterday... The actual date is actually on 12th July, but there's so much going on for me later in the mth, so I decided to do it earlier... Thank you to friends and family that came yesterday, making it a memorable event.... A HUGE thank you to my dearest friend, Yatie for everything.... Really2 appreciate what you've done.... You are truly an amazing scrapbooker and a wonderful friend... I'll always cherished our friendship...

Challenge: LOve

Hi all... It's February! How time flies ya? I thought it would be nice to do another challenge... A simple challenge for this month- Create a LO of your loved ones (parents, husband/wives, kids, girlfriend/boyfriend, friends or even pets), it can be of any size. You can submit as many entries. But here's the catch, in the LO you have to use at least 1 product from Scrappingchix, it can be the paper, cardstock, embellishments stamps etc.

Submit entry(s) thru email (naja78 [at]yahoo.com)by 12 noon, 27th February. RAKs will be given to two lucky ones ;)

My take on the challenge... Using core'dinations cardstock, the new zig pens (metallic, chalk and photo signature), prima blings and thickers. Also used some kindy glitz...

Finally finished this LO! Played with distress embossing powder and the new prima flowers. I like the effect of the distress embossing, tho cant really see from the pic but when you touch it, it gives different texture to the LO... I loike... TFL :)

Materials used: Cardstock, kaisercraft pp, making memories pp, K&co pp, prima flowers, scrapfx corner frame, lace & pearls, distress embossing powder, brilliance ink pads.

Brads are no longer just for the office. They have become a hot trend in scrapbooking embellishments. They now come in many colors, sizes, and shapes. Use them as fastener, attach ribbons, page elements (centre of flowers), borders and part of lettering.

ATC

ATC stands for artist trading cards. They are collectables. ATCs are not meant for sale but for swap/exchange. Swaps are generally one card for one card. The size of ATC is 2.5" x 3.5". It can be made vertical or horizontal. Usually on the back of each ATC the artist writes their name, contact information, title of the ATC and number if it's part of an edition.

ATC can be made from cardstock, chipboard or any kind of materials. As for how to do the ATC, the possibilities are endless. Just to name a few, you can paint them, stamp on them, use ink pads, alchohol ink, utee, embossing, doodle etc etc.

Here are some of my latest ATCs. I've used some of my new stamps (they will be available at Scrappingchix real soon, haven't upload them yet *wink*)for these ATCs...

Hello all, sorry for the late update.. I've been busy with the American bazaar & Alice Smith xmas bazaar- the preparation and the aftermath :) But it's been great. I had great time at both bazaars. Tq for those who came... Even Dang Suria, the tv personality stopped by the booth :) Enjoy the slideshow...

20th November 2009 is the Universal Children's Day. Children's Day was first celebrated worldwide in October 1953 in Geneva to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world's children. It was also chosen as the day to celebrate childhood.

Had a very long day... Everything went well, alhamdulillah... At least ppl get to knw a bit abt scrapbooking... And I must say the bookmarks, candles & notebooks were quite a hit among the kids :) I had fun... Great 1st time experience for me... I'll definitely join again next time if given any opportunity... And thanks to mama for helping me today esp with carrying all the stuffs... Took her car there so penuh satu kereta ahaha Even now the stuffs still in the car, tomorrow la will unload the stuffs

Hello everyone... Hope everyone is doin great... I've been busy, especially altering stuffs... Anyway for the 2nd challenge, since only 2 submissions, I've decided to split the vaucher to both of them i.e Mich & Yatie :)

On another note, Scrappingchix will be at SK TTDI Jaya's (in Shah Alam) school carnival this Saturday, 8th Nov from 8am to 2pm. Do drop by to see goodies... Lotsa altered stuffs up for grab. Will update more details on this later on...

Masking using Maya Road mist & KI lace cardstock
Played with Maya Road mist. I love the cool effect it gives. Especially with the metallic colours. I used two colours. First I sprayed the base colour(red) then sprayed another layer with metallic (copper). It gives shimmery effect which is just lovely.
